Things to Know and Bring on Your Trip

Yoga: All ages, and levels of yoga practice are welcome, beginner to advanced. Bring yoga mat and yoga rug or something for the top of mat when sweating.

All-inclusive: Everything is included in the trip, but you are not required to attend. It is fine to skip any activity, feel free to stay at the house relaxing or doing your own thing.

Transportation: Our driver will pick you up at the airport or wherever you request near the San Jose airport. He will be with us all week and can take you wherever you need to go. Jose: 506-8825-9211.

Wristbands: Punta Leona is a private resort and you need to have a wristband on to use any of the “club facilities.” You do not need it for the beach or our house but will need it to go through security and buy anything you need. This is a bit of a hassle but is part of what makes this a very safe resort.

Alcohol is permitted, but not provided. The driver can take you to buy your own alcoholic beverages.

Water: The tap water is safe to drink in Punta Leona and we also have additional filtered water. Outside of the resort do not drink the tap water.

Food: There will be vegetarian options at all meals. Please let the staff know if you have any special dietary needs.

Beach: The beach is only about a 10-minute walk to the house but it is down a steep hill. The driver can take you or you can walk anytime. Please return your beach towels, or anything that belongs to the houses, after use. Snorkel gear is available but we suggest you bring your own.

Kayaks: At Playa Blanca I will have an account so you can use the kayaks anytime. Just say you are with Peter Hurley’s group.

Tips are optional: Driver, cooks, massage therapist, guides.

Massages: 1 massage is included for each guest at the retreat, additional massages can be booked directly with the masseuse for an additional fee.

Itinerary: Subject to change due to weather or the many wonderful things that pop up in Costa Rica.

Nightlife: The club at Punta Leona has many activities on weekends, and Jaco has a popular nightlife. It is not scheduled activities of the retreat but the driver is available to take you.

Other things to bring: Camera: sunscreen, swimsuits, hiking shoes, sun-glasses, rain poncho, swim suit, and a smile.
